The Estudi General Lul·lià, on Carrer de Sant Roc in Palma, was rebuilt after the original building was destroyed during the Spanish Civil War. The new building, designed by Gabriel Alomar between 1959 and 1972, is in the Regionalist style.
The Estudi General Lul·lià is a non-profit association governed by a board and a general assembly, which include a representative of Palma City Council and one from the Consell de Mallorca. The assembly and the board are currently chaired by the rector Joana Maria Palou, with Sílvia Ventayol as secretary general and director of the centre.
Over more than seventy years, the Estudi General Lul·lià has hosted numerous organisations. It is currently home to the Fòrum de la Societat Civil, a platform of some twenty associations, as well as the Fundació d’Iniciatives de la Mediterrània, Palma XXI, Tramuntana XXI, Mallorca Preservation Foundation, Ascenso Akademie and the Fundació Baltasar Coll Tomàs.

Ulls de Dona és un projecte cultural que presenta una selecció de cinema amb enfocament feminista, organitzat per l’Estudi General Lul·lià. Inclou projeccions de pel·lícules, documentals i curtmetratges, així com col·loquis i actuacions en directe. presents a selection of cinema with a feminist perspective. Organised by the Estudi General Lul·lià, this cultural gathering includes screenings of feature films, documentaries and short films, along with discussions and live performances.


The climate crisis affects many areas of daily life and concerns a growing number of people. In response, several civil society organisations have launched the Climate Academy, a pioneering project in Mallorca that seeks to bring together and connect existing initiatives. Inspired by the Académie du Climat in Paris, it is an independent, citizen-led initiative driven by organisations committed to the environment and to social justice.



The Estudi General Lul·lià seeks to promote research around the figure of Ramon Llull, not only on Llull’s own subject matter or on historical Lullism, but on the application of the scientific method he devised, the Ars combinatoria, understood as a research method that interconnects scientific, artistic and humanistic knowledge.



TEENS: making cinema about gender violence. The Estudi General Lul·lià becomes a genuine film set where three groups of teenagers shoot their own short fiction films.



An international open call for artists of any discipline interested in researching, reinterpreting or reactivating the popular culture of the Illes Balears through contemporary creative practice.
