The Evolution Mallorca International Film Festival (EMIFF) and the Mallorca Preservation Foundation are teaming up to launch the first environmental film series, entitled Cine Consciente. This series has a dual objective: to raise awareness about the environmental challenges facing our planet, while also claiming the role of cinema as a tool to raise awareness and mobilize society.

Cine Consciente is a space for meeting and reflection that goes beyond a series of screenings. It is a platform dedicated to exploring and highlighting the most urgent challenges facing our planet, using cinema as a powerful vehicle for awareness and social transformation. Throughout this series, four documentaries will be presented that address crucial issues such as underwater noise pollution, the restoration of ecosystems through sustainable agricultural practices, innovative solutions to combat climate change and the conservation of emblematic cultural and natural landscapes.

Four documentaries will be screened during the Environmental Film Series, all linked to the work carried out by Mallorca Preservation:

September 19 - Sonic Sea, 6:30 p.m.
October 10 - Ganado o Desierto, 6:30 p.m.
November 4 - 2040 (within the framework of EMIFF), 6:30 p.m.
November 13 - Pedra i Oli, 6:30 p.m.
